Airbeam – Air Quality Monitoring – Completed

BCYEG has been assisting in the procurement and testing of relatively low-cost air quality monitors which detect PM2.5, incredibly small particles in the air that cause a great deal of suffering around the world. Edmonton has some of the worst PM2.5 measurements among large cities in Canada, and so devices like the recently released AirBeam by Habitatmap are important to understand PM2.5 on a hyper-local level.

The Airbeams were tested against the public stream of air quality from the Alberta Capital Airshed Woodcroft branch stream (see image below). Much help from Matt Dance on the validating!
